Director of Physiotherapy
James is our director of physiotherapy and remedial massage here at Spine & Sports Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University, with further studies in Brisbane treating complex cases of headache, neck and TMJ (jaw) disorders.
James is our director of physiotherapy and remedial massage here at Spine & Sports Centre and helped establish the clinic with his sister Emily, and brother-in-law Mason in 2017 before moving to Brisbane. Family is very important to James, and with a team of health practitioners in the family, setting up a clinic with them was the obvious next step. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Curtin University and has recently returned to his hometown of Perth and to our clinic.
In Brisbane, working at The Headache, Neck and Jaw Clinic, James found a passion for treating complex cervicogenic, migraine and temporomandibular joint cases. During this time James completed Levels 1 and 2 in the Watson Headache® Approach which has provided invaluable insight into the role of cervical afferents in headache and migraine complaints. After working under highly experienced practitioners in a niche area of physiotherapy, James returns to our clinic with a skill set unique to Western Australia.
James has a passion for sport which was nurtured through his time at Trinity College, with a special interest in rowing, swimming, hockey and athletics. On weekends you might find James four-wheel-driving, boating, fishing or making a poor attempt at surfing.
